118 of Bradwell's finest pensioners enjoyed lunch served by Bradda Dads and once again ably assisted by their wives. Children from both the Infant and Junior Schools sang Christmas songs and Bradda Dads did their own special rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful, some of which was even in tune!, plus a communal version of 'Bring Me Sunshine.'
Holding an event like this in December would always have the possibility of poor weather. We have been very fortunate in previous years that the weather has been kind to us, but we can't have imagined how much snow and ice there would be this year, although it was a sunny day. We were very pleased that so many people made the effort to attend, despite the slippery conditions.
