The annual Boxing Day duck race was made more festive by the remains of the recent heavy snow fall. Despite being slippery under foot a crowd of local people and visitors watched the craft race and then 500 ducks as they bobbed their way down the brook. Oliver Mosley won the craft race. Samual Cooper and Emma Tanfield won best design of craft for their respective year groups. The duck race results will be posted here later. Thanks to all who supported this year's race.

Christmas Tree Festival at St Barnabas Church
Bradda Dads were one of various community organisations that were invited by St Barnabas Church to take part in a Christmas Tree Festival. The festival was in aid of the fabric fund for roof work and building maintenance. The idea was for each organisation to decorate a Christmas tree to represent what they do in the village. Special thanks to the Ojari family who temporarily gave up this year's real tree for the festival. All the trees looked great with their individual decorations and lights.

Pensioners Christmas Lunch - 9 December 2009
124 of Bradwell's finest pensioners, plus one very suspect unidentified 'lady' (see if you can identify her? from the photos), had lunch served by Bradda Dads assisted by a number of their partners. Thanks to all concerned, including Stanley Bradwell for the use of the Methodist Hall, Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport and Jo's Pantry for the catering (which was excellent), James at the White Hart and the children from Bradwell Junior School who sang for everyone.
